Safe Connections. Where violence ends and healthy relationships begin.
Minimize

Please use this Safe Connections site to learn more about the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault...and our programs where victims become survivors. Our mission is to reduce the impact and incidence of relationship violence and sexual assault through education, crisis intervention, counseling and support services.

Located in St. Louis, Missouri, Safe Connections is a place where relationship violence and its long-term effects are addressed in complete confidence and security. Our individual counseling enables thousands of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to reclaim their lives. Our 24-hour Crisis Helpline volunteers provide resources and information to survivors, family members and concerned friends. Project HART offers information about healthy relationships to adolescents at schools and other sites around the region.

Our services are free, safe and confidential. Our staff members are experienced and compassionate. Since 1976, Safe Connections has created hope and healing from pain and violence. Join us in striving to make a safe, healthy community for all of us.

A Great Concert for Our Cause
Minimize

Thanks to the full-house of almost 50 friends who came out for a relaxing night of musical nostalgia Saturday at Salt in the Central West End. We raised more than $400 for Safe Connections. A huge thanks goes to event organizer and vocalist Mary Meidinger, a wonderful friend of Safe Connections. Thanks also go to musicians Tim Garcia on keyboards and Willem von Hombracht on bass.

The next night of nostalgia is June 22 at Salt featuring Songs from the Movies. For more information, contact Mary Meidinger.

Together! For Girls From 10 to 110
Minimize

Huge thanks to the more than 400 women and girls that came out to The Ritz for our sixth annual Together! Engaging Women/Empowering Girls.

Our speakers this year were incredible: Mary Elizabeth Grimes, Missouri State Director of the March of Dimes; Christy Marshall, Editor in Chief of St. Louis At Home magazine; and Kacie Starr Triplett, former St. Louis City Alderwoman. KWMU's Rachel Lippmann served graciously as our celebrity emcee.

We are heading back to The Ritz-Carlton in spring of 2014 for more great shopping, great food and most importantly, the great company of girls from 10 to 110. Visit the event page for details soon.
