Visit Quilt National Through November 4

Since 1988, this biennial exhibition has been delivering the best of international fiber art to the St. Louis region. This year we are featuring 79 pieces of contemporary fiber art, selected from more than 1,000 entries sent from around the world. Held October 2 through November 4 at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, this show is a great visual escape that directly supports the services of Safe Connections to prevent and end domestic and sexual violence and support survivors.

Quilt National Honorary Co-chairs are KMOX's Debbie Monterrey and fomer St. Charles City Mayor Patti York. In conjunction with the exhibition this year, a special selection of quilt pieces by long-time Safe Connections supporter Dorris McManis will also be on display to honor the memory of our talented and generous friend.

Thanks for Being a Part of Quilt National 2009

Since 1988, this biennial exhibition has been a cornerstone of support for the programs and services of Safe Connections. The agency appreciates all of our event sponsors, exhibition visitors and supporters of this event. Quilt National is the signature fundraising event for Safe Connections and, thanks to the generosity of all of our supporters, helps underwrite the crisis intervention, counseling and violence prevention education programs we offer to clients at no-cost.

Special thanks to our Quilt National event committee, led by Jill Fisher and Carobeth Kelly, and to Zoe Perkins, who, as curator of the St. Louis show, created an inviting and inspiring display for the works of art. We also thank the Foundry Art Centre for welcoming us into such a wonderful space again in 2009.

If you didn't make it out to the Foundry to view the quilts, you can still view them right here. Enjoy the view, and join us for the next Quilt National in October 2011.
